Acts 2:42

At Rooted 242, we are dedicated to standing in the gap for youth and families from hard places, from adolescence to adulthood. Inspired by the spirit of community and empowerment in Acts 2:42, our mission is to create a nurturing environment that fosters growth, resilience, and community connection.

Our Space

Our facility serves as a vibrant hub for various community events and collaborations. It houses everything from bible studies and nonprofit meetings to social gatherings like murder mystery dinners, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and support.

Our Impact

Rooted 242 is more than just an organization; it's a movement towards building a healthier community. By providing support, education, and resources, we empower individuals and families to overcome challenges and thrive. Our programs not only meet immediate needs but also build the foundations for long-term success.

Our Ministries

Thrive Support Groups:

We host bi-monthly support groups that provide a community safety net for underprivileged family units. These gatherings offer free childcare, warm meals, and workshops on budgeting, parenting, and mental health, all aimed at fostering personal and family development.

Supervised Visit Space:

We offer a cozy, homelike environment where children in foster care can have safe, supervised visits with their biological families. This space is equipped with toys, games, and comfy furniture, ensuring a welcoming and secure setting for family bonding.

Family Advocacy:

We advocate for families navigating the challenges of the foster care system, providing guidance, support, and resources to help them understand legal proceedings and reunite with their children whenever possible.

Cakes for Fosters:

Every child deserves a special birthday, so we provide custom-made cakes and party supplies for foster children, ensuring they have memorable celebrations.

Community Bucks:

Our community-driven initiative allows patrons to donate towards meals for those in need, offering a warm dish in a friendly environment for anyone facing hardship.

Community Cabinet:

This resource provides essential items like clothing, hygiene products, and more, ensuring that all community members can maintain dignity and basic comfort.

Independent Living Apartments (Coming Soon):

This upcoming project aims to support aged-out foster youth by providing them with affordable housing and teaching essential life skills to promote independence and prevent homelessness and incarceration.
